Hi Friends,
One day during my shift in office i have been asked to upload some data to one of our server from a 3rd party server. On this 3rd party server we were not having permission to install any software and also there were no ftp clients Pre-installed. So it was somewhat difficult to accomplish the given task but not impossible as i have used the below given option which you can also find helpful if you get kind of situation in future, though it is very basic, simple and have some restrictions of speed and threads but at the same time it is useful in restricted environment like in my case.

Steps.
1.
Open the ftp site address in Internet
explorer.
2.
Provide credentials when it prompts for it.
3.
Your FTP site should be open now as shown below.
4.
Now go to option “Open FTP Site in Windows
explorer” under “Page” menu as shown below.
5.
Provide credential if it prompts for it.
6.
Your FTP site now should be opened in windows
explorer as shown below. (look at the address bar it will show the address of
FTP site)
7.
Now open another explorer window as shown below.
(You notice from address bar, that one explorer windows showing the local PC`s
contents and another one is showing FTP site`s contents).
8.
Now simply drag and drop the items from Local
content`s window to FTP site content`s window to upload.
9.
It will be getting upload and will be shown as below.
(Here I have just dragged and dropped the VC_RED.cab file to FTP site contents
window)
10.
Finally you should be able to see that your file
is successfully uploaded to you FTP site, as shown below.
